1. Objectives
This program aims to nurture students with strong oral and written capacities of Chinese language and a broad basic knowledge of humanities and social sciences. Students are cultivated to be inter-disciplinary talents specialized in a wide range of fields like trade with China, diplomacy, C-E/E-C translation, tourism, secretarial work, Chinese teaching and research and etc.
2. Training requirements
The normal duration of study for this program is 4 years. Students will be allowed to graduate and be granted a Bachelor of Arts degree by SAU upon completing all of the following requirements: complete all the courses stipulated in the curriculum; obtain the credits specified by the program; complete the graduation design (or graduation thesis) related to the major independently and pass the defense; and pass Chinese Proficiency Test (new HSK) Level 5 or above.

6. Qualification of applicants
(1) Friendly to China, excellent academic records, good moral and health.
(2) The applicant must be at aged between 18 and 30, awarded a senior high school diploma.

9. Application procedure
Step 1: Online application
Register and fill personal information and scholarship application form in the Online System http://app.ghc.sicau.edu.cn
Step 2: Documents submission online
(1) Valid passport, and residence permit page if you are already in China
(2) HSK certificate
(3) CV or personal statement
(4) Original or notarized photocopies of senior high school diploma and transcripts. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
(5) Valid medical certificate
(6) Certificate of Non-criminal Record
(7) Financial statement: Evidence of financial support
For applicants under the age of 18 on registration day, a notarization of guarantors in China is required. The guardian of the student has to be living in Sichuan at present.
(8) Other supporting materials including sports, arts and other relevant awards and certificates, Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate (HSK).
Note: 1) In addition to the above application materials, the university may require applicant to provide supplementary materials, depending on the circumstances.
2) The application is invalid if the application materials are incomplete.
Step 3:Application fee payment
Two ways to pay application fee (non-refundable): RMB 600 (or U.S. Dollar 90 for overseas payment)
(1) Pay at the International Student Office of SAU in person or entrust others. Submit the copy of the Payment Receipt to ISO.

10. Interview
Students are required to attend a video or telephone interview at a specified time, or to provide a short video of up to 5 minutes, covering Chinese self-introduction, willingness to study in China, etc.

(1) Application fee (Non-refundable): RMB 600
(2) Tuition fees: RMB 16,000/Year (Tuition will be reduced by RMB 10,000 per year for scholarship students.)

12. Accommodation reservation
On-campus rooms can only be reserved for those who have successfully applied on line. There is a bathroom, broadband internet access, furniture for each room in the student apartment. There are also water boilers, laundry services and public showers in the apartment.
Those who fail to apply for the dorm on line need to find the accommodation off campus by themselves.
13. Inquiry and admission notice
The applicants who pass the evaluation by Sichuan Agricultural University International Student Admission Committee will be finally admitted. The International Office will send email to admitted students and the applicants may check admission status via the Online Application System.
14. Registration
Students shall come to International Students Office for registration during the dates indicated on the Admission Notice. Students must enter China with ordinary passport, X1 visa, and must apply for Residence Permit within 30 days after arrival in China.
